Deputy Minister Says Red And White Village Cooperatives Will Fill Subsidized Fertilizer Outlets To Cheap Pharmacies

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Agriculture (Wamentan) Sudaryono said, in the implementation of the Red and White Village Cooperative, there will be construction of outlets that will be filled with sales of subsidized fertilizers to pharmacies at low prices.

He conveyed this during an internal meeting with the All-Indonesian Village Government Apparatus Association (Papdesi), on Friday, April 18.

"The Red and White Village Cooperative is the spearhead. Not only selling fertilizer, basic necessities, melon gas, but it can also be a grain collector, has a village clinic, and even a cheap pharmacy. All for one purpose, the villagers don't have to bother looking for basic necessities at exorbitant prices," he said, quoted from the Instagram account @sudaru_sudaryono, Monday, April 21.

He added that President Prabowo Subianto wanted this cooperative to run smoothly in each village. "The Red and White Village Cooperative is what the president wants is not to make cooperatives and then leave them arbitrarily. Usually it doesn't work, some have thought about it," continued Sudaryono.

Sudaryono also encouraged farmer cooperatives throughout Indonesia to collaborate with the Red and White Village Cooperative as part of the national strategy to build the village economy and expand farmers' access to agricultural businesses.

He said, there were 755,542 farmer groups or 30,000 farmer groups combined throughout Indonesia.

From the farmer institution, 5,063 cooperative legal entities have been formed.

Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop) Budi Arie Setiadi said the launch of this platform was the result of a meeting with the KDMP Task Force (Satgas) which was held at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs on April 15, 2025.

In the meeting it was agreed that this website would become a national dashboard for the KDMP Task Force, serving as a single data source for this strategic program.

"This national dashboard aims to recap and monitor the process of establishing the Village Cooperative or Red and White Village, starting from socialization, special village meetings, member meetings, to the establishment of cooperatives with development data presented in real time," said Budi Arie as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, April 21.

Budi Arie explained that the data collected through this dashboard will be developed into a Kophub Omnichannel Marketplace.
