Trenggono Asks His Staff To Innovate To Carry Out Tasks, No Need To Wait For The Directions

JAKARTA - Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KP) Sakti Wahyu Trenggono asked all his staff to dare to take innovative steps in carrying out their duties in the field of KP.

This was conveyed by Trenggono when giving directions to all employees within the KKP at the Halalbihalal event at the KKP office, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 8.

Trenggono did not even hesitate to dismiss his employees if he only wanted to work based on directions from the leadership.

"In the past, my four years here was always what the minister said, if there was no direction, I would not dare to undergo it. I and the Deputy Minister (Didit Herdiawan) have promised this time starting from the Directorate General of Echelon I, Echelon II once someone said that if there was no direction, our minister did not carry out, I asked that day also resign or I would stop," said Trenggono as seen by VOI in the uploaded video of the official Instagram account @swtrenggono, Wednesday, April 9.

"This is the only thing that can think about all of you in the KKP. To the Director Generals as tribal chiefs or commanders in each (organization unit) to really be able to bring this, get out of this room and immediately start working later," he continued.

On this occasion, Trenggono conveyed to all his staff to focus on three things. First, about processing innovation.

"How the domestic market must immediately make significant improvements and the initiative must also be carried out, the roadmap must be prepared by the Director General," said Trenggono.

Second, related to cultivation. Trenggono said, this is the most important core in the KP sector. He also asked his subordinates to invite universities in the KP sector to work together to do research on how to cultivate effective and efficient cultivation.

"The context of cultivation (this) is also able to carry out good quality development, is able to create good growth, then be able to create good supporting resources," he said.

Third, the issue of capture fisheries. Trenggono asked his staff to make good arrangements in this sector. The hope is that fishing in the country can really be controlled.

"There should be no more rupiah, please evaluate the policy of rupiah. Around the world there is no rupiah, except for Indonesia," he said.

Furthermore, Trenggono assessed that his party must be adaptive to world changes that have an impact on the world economy and the domestic economy.

"The innovation of daring to display what is being thought, dare to display things that should be positive (and) convey to which leadership is good, which is not good, continue to be compared to 'oh, this is the best'," he concluded.
