"The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 7.2 percent when compared to the Eid al-Fitr 2024 holiday period, which was 712,527 vehicles, an increase of 7.4 percent when compared to normal traffic of 711,338 vehicles," said Lisye in a written statement, Wednesday, March 26.

For the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek towards the three directions, the majority were 358,099 vehicles or 46.9 percent headed East (Trans Java and Bandung), 237,016 vehicles or 31.0 percent headed West (Merak) and 168,564 vehicles or 22.1 percent headed South (Puncak).

Lisye detailed, traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta Toll Road Cikampek as many as 204,631 vehicles or an increase of 48.8 percent from normal traffic.

"Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road is 168,564 vehicles, 2.4 percent lower than normal traffic," he said.

He explained, on the D-6 Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri holiday or Tuesday, March 25, traffic leaving Jabotabek at four main toll gates was recorded at 160,021 vehicles, an increase of 24.6 percent from normal traffic, namely 128,438 vehicles.

In addition, said Lisye, his party also noted that the flow of traffic to the East region, especially towards Trans Java on Tuesday, March 25, had increased. At least, there were 81,757 vehicles passing in that direction.

Meanwhile, for the direction of Puncak, a total of 31,722 vehicles were recorded, an increase of 3.7 percent from normal traffic, namely 30,589 vehicles and Merak directions, a total of 46,542 vehicles, 2.1 percent lower than normal traffic as many as 47,523 vehicles.
