JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) is ready to support the development of education infrastructure, especially for the People's School Program. Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, emphasized the full readiness of the Ministry of Public Works to build and optimize basic infrastructure.

To ensure that the People's School Program runs effectively, Dody also instructed the Directorate General of Strategic Infrastructure, which is a new organizational unit at the Ministry of Public Works to prepare technical designs.
This design includes the design of the main building, student dormitories and construction standards that are able to support teaching and learning activities.
"We welcome the initiative of the Minister of Social Affairs to prioritize access to education for the most vulnerable people. Coordination between ministries needs to be accelerated, so that the target of building 100 People's Schools can be realized according to the President's direction," said Dody.

Meanwhile, Social Minister Syaifullah Yusuf expressed his gratitude for the positive response from the Ministry of Public Works. According to him, the People's School is designed in the form of a free boarding school with a capacity of up to 1,000 students per school, standing on an area of approximately 5 hectares.
