National Price: Cayenne Pepper Reaches IDR 91,000 Per Kg, What About Other Regions?

JAKARTA - The National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) managed by Bank Indonesia noted that the price of red cayenne pepper at the retail trader level reached IDR 91,100 per kilogram, while shallots sold for IDR 39,550 per kilogram on Sunday, March 2.

PIHPS data at 10.00 WIB quoted by ANTARA shows other food prices at the level of retail traders nationally, including garlic which sells for IDR 45,350 per kilogram.

For rice, the lower quality I is at IDR 13,950 per kilogram, lower quality II IDR 13,650 per kilogram, medium quality I IDR 15,300 per kilogram, and medium quality II IDR 15,100 per kilogram. Meanwhile, super quality I rice was recorded at IDR 16,600 per kilogram, and super quality II was IDR 16,150 per kilogram.

The price of large red chilies was recorded at IDR 61,050 per kilogram, curly red chilies IDR 61,600 per kilogram, and green cayenne pepper IDR 62,350 per kilogram.

The commodity of broiler meat is sold at a price of Rp37,350 per kilogram, quality I beef for Rp141,700 per kilogram, and quality II beef for Rp132,700 per kilogram.

For other commodities, premium quality sugar is recorded at IDR 19,650 per kilogram, while local sugar is sold for IDR 18,600 per kilogram.

bulk cooking oil is marketed at a price of Rp. 18,600 per liter, packaged cooking oil with a brand I of Rp. 22,100 per liter, and packaged cooking oil with a brand of II Rp. 21,000 per liter.

PIHPS also noted that the price of broiler eggs at the retail trader level reached IDR 30,600 per kilogram.
