Chairman of Commission VII of the House of Representatives (DPR) Saleh Partaonan Daulay said Ramadhan is the month of developing MSMEs and the creative economy (ekraf).

This is because in the month of Ramadan, he said, MSME and creative businessmen increase productivity, both in terms of quality and quantity, to seek the birth of new products that are better and more creative.

"MSME and creative entrepreneurs always rely on the month of Ramadan. This month, they always hope to get more benefits than other months, in line with the increasing interest and desire to shop for the community," Saleh said in a written statement in Jakarta, Saturday.

In this context, he considered that it was natural for the Government to help MSME and creative businessmen in selling their products, one of which was by opening markets for MSMEs and creative economy.

For this reason, the head of the commission in charge of MSMEs and creative economy hopes that the government at all leadership levels can establish a bazaar in strategic places in each city.

With the various bazaars being held, Saleh believes that the public will be happy and can easily come to the place to shop as well as bury it.

The implication, he continued, is that healthy trade competition will develop. Money will circulate in the community, so that the economy in the regions can improve.

"If there is a bazaar, it's good, there are various needs sold there. Of course, it's more special for Ramadan products, for example such as food, drinks, clothes, fabrics, prayer tools, dates, toys, Ramadan souvenirs, as well as various other products," he said.

If all regencies or cities have such a place for bazaars and cheap markets, he ensures that these various places will be of interest and pleasure.

Therefore, the most important thing, according to him, is that the Government must be willing to facilitate it. Civil Service Police Units (Satpol PP) and security forces can also be asked to participate in maintaining security in these various places.

"If they are not facilitated, they still sell. But sometimes they are not neat and less orderly because they are often on the side of the road and shops, causing traffic jams that are very disturbing," Saleh added.

Commission VII DPR RI is in charge of industry, the creative economy, MSMEs, tourism and publication facilities.
