Bahlil Ensures That The Fuel Sold By Pertamina Gas Stations Is In Accordance With The Standards

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia ensured that the quality of fuel oil (BBM) sold by PT Pertamina (Persero) at gas stations was in accordance with the standards set by the government.

Our quality is in accordance with standards. There are everything. Already there. So if you buy a good price, good oil, the price is also good. Want to be half-hearted, there is also half-hearted. All of them have specs," Bahlil told the media crew at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Building, Wednesday, February 26.

Bahlil also said that he would conduct an audit of the quality of fuel circulated by Pertamina. However, before conducting an audit, his party will arrange for fuel management.

"Before we audit the quality, we will arrange the fuel and LPG management system. Why? Because we really have to arrange it. If we don't arrange it, this will continue. We want to make changes," he added.

Bahlil also said that in the near future he would soon form a team to ensure the specifications of fuel oil (BBM). This is an answer to public unrest regarding the circulating fuel. The fuel specifications will refer to the provisions set by the Natural Oil and Gas Institute (Lemigas).

"We will arrange a team well to provide certainty for people to buy oil based on specifications and prices," said Bahlil.

Bahlil also said that he made improvements to the import permit for fuel from what was previously carried out during the year to once every 6 months.

"That's why now, our import permits for fuel are not one year at a time. We make it every six months, so that there is an evaluation per three months," he added.

In addition, oil that was previously exported to be processed abroad will also be stopped so that it can be processed at a refinery owned by Indonesia.
