Minister Dody Doesn't Mind The Budget Of The Ministry Of Public Works Is Cut: I'm OK, The Important Thing Is Honoror Salaries No Problem

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) budget was cut from Rp110.95 trillion so that the remaining Rp29.57 trillion.

PU Minister Dody Hanggodo is reluctant to bother with the budget cuts.

"From the beginning of the APBN, I considered it an assignment. So, if I give anything, I'm okay. The important thing is that one salary doesn't matter, that's it. Right, all kinds of honorary friends don't have a problem, OP friends don't have a problem. So far, the others have been okay, I think, yes, that's it," said Dody to reporters at his office, Friday, February 21.

Dody claims that he will work as much as possible in carrying out many projects in the ministry he leads.

However, the final decision remains with President Prabowo Subianto and the public who judge it.

"Right, Mr. President is not someone who doesn't want to know either. Right, as soon as I have built something and it is indeed the maximum benefit for the community, we just need to inform 'Sir, I have built this'. You assigned me more I can't afford it, sir. Because the funding is lacking, really," said Dody.

"So, God willing, it would be a funding matter if for me personally as Minister of Public Works it was never a problem," he continued.

According to Dody, the focus of the assignment at the Ministry of Public Works for this year is still one, namely food security and food self-sufficiency in the shortest possible time.

"Because the President is really worried that there will be a big war and we still have to import rice. That's very dangerous. He's really after it, but I'm just supporting the unit. So the guardian, right, the Minister of Agriculture, so the Minister of Agriculture meetings almost every day with the President. Asked progress, I just support the unit," he concluded.
