BTPN Syariah Received IDR375 Billion Profits In The First Quarter Of 2021

JAKARTA - PT BTPN Syariah Tbk. managed to score a net profit after tax of IDR 375 billion during the first quarter of 2021. This cuan book is equivalent to 44 percent of the net profit collected throughout 2020.

Meanwhile, this positive achievement was supported by the financing performance which grew 6 percent year-on-year (yoy) to Rp9.7 trillion.

Communication Head of BTPN Syariah Ainul Yaqin, the company's achievements in the first trimester of this year cannot be separated from an expansionary strategy accompanied by the principle of prudence.

"The growth in financing is in line with consistency in maintaining quality and prudence," he said Thursday, April 22.

Ainul added that liquidity conditions were also in quite good condition through the record growth of third party funds (DPK) of 9 percent in this period to Rp10.5 trillion.

This also boosted the increase in the company's assets to IDR 17.3 trillion with equity of IDR 6.3 trillion.

"The record of financing is quite good, making us optimistic to navigate this year," he said.

Dividend distribution and new directors

Meanwhile, the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) of BTPN Syariah decided to distribute cash dividends of Rp33 per share. This figure was obtained after shareholders approved a payout ratio of 30 percent of the book's profit in 2020. This payout ratio itself increased from the previous period which was recorded at 25 percent.
