PINTU Invites The Community To Increase Vigilance

JAKARTA - PT Pintu Kemana Saja (PINTU), the first all-in-one crypto application in Indonesia, appealed to the public to be more alert to fraudulent modes on behalf of the DOOR. The two most common modes are the use of the name PT Pintu Kemana Saja illegally and the fake WhatsApp number claiming to be the official contact of the DOOR.

Head of Product Marketing at the DOOR, Iskandar Mohammad, emphasized that all official communication on the DOOR was only carried out via an email help @ door.co.id and the Live Chat feature in the DOOR application.

"The use of WhatsApp is only intended to send the One-time Password (OTP) code, not for communication with users. The DOOR Customer Success (CS) team never uses a WhatsApp number or phone number to communicate with users. In addition, the official location of the DOOR is door.co.id, and every other website on behalf of the DOOR can be confirmed to be fake," said Iskandar, Wednesday, February 19.

Iskandar added that one of the modes of fraud found was to include fake numbers that appear when users search for Whatsapp Crypto Doors or Whatsapp Investment DOORs on Google.

The modes and threats of fraud can occur in various industries, including crypto. Quoting Pintu Academy, the PINTU application educational platform, there are at least four types of crypto scams, including:

1. Lure a free gift by asking for personal data. 2. Pretending to imitate other people by duplicating social media accounts. 3. Phishing by disguise and changing identities as if as an official crypto company, by changing the name of the company's website to using a fake WhatsApp number. 4. Ransomware attacks are hacker attempts to block site access and enter into computer programs.

Some of our tips to avoid fraud on behalf of the DOOR. If you are contacted not from the official PINTU service, such as fake WhatsApp, please immediately block the number. Don't easily believe and be tempted by the lure of the investment returns offered. The investment decision is in the hands of the user himself, the DOOR never offers to deposit funds. Then, don't give personal data to anyone. Finally, don't download or click on links originating from unofficial sites," concluded Iskandar.
