JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI targets a series of new Electric Rail Trains (KRL) imported from China to be operated regularly in Semester II-2025.
KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba said the new KRL can be operated with a note that if it has successfully passed the 4,000 kilometer (km) trial and the evaluation is declared good by the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) of the Ministry of Transportation.
"This is being tested first, if there are no problems, for example everything goes smoothly, hopefully in Semester II-2025 it can operate. Later, hopefully, DJKA can pass the test," he told the media at the Ministry of Transportation Office, Wednesday, February 12.
