Deputy Minister Tiko: There Is No IPO For This Year's Red Plate Company

Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Kartika Wirjoatmodjo revealed that there are no plans to encourage state-owned companies to offer initial shares or IPOs on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) this year.

"This year we haven't, there hasn't been a corporate action for that (IPO)," he told reporters when met at the Fairmont Hotel, Jakarta, Tuesday, February 11.

According to Tiko, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo's nickname, the government is preparing to launch the Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) in March 2025.

"We will launch this (Department) organization hopefully next month (March) or more)," he said.

Currently, said Tiko, the government is still finalizing a number of details related to the Danantara. Therefore, Tiko asked investors to be patient in waiting for the launch of the agency.

"Please be patient for a month to ensure that there are appropriate details regarding this organization," he said.

Previously, it was reported that PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX) opened its voice regarding the progress of the Initial Public Offering (IPO) for State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

IDX Director of Corporate Assessment, I Gede Nyoman Yetna said that his party had an agreement with the Ministry of SOEs regarding the implementation of public offerings at state-owned companies.

Therefore, Nyoman explained that his party will discuss in advance with the Ministry of SOEs because it has been with a new government, this will certainly make it easier to follow up.

"So before I had said that we and the Ministry of SOEs had an agreement. Now with the new government, of course, it will make it easier for us later to follow up," he told reporters, Monday, January 13.

Nyoman said that in his meeting with the Ministry of SOEs, IDX will offer assistance to BUMN entities that plan to be listed as open companies.

However, Nyoman has not been able to confirm when the meeting between the IDX and the Ministry of SOEs will be held.

"Yes, we are communicating, as soon as possible (the meeting will be held)," he said.
