JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) will start implementing the 2025 Railway Travel Graphik (Gapeka) on Saturday, February 1, 2025.

KAI President Director Didiek Hartantyo said, Gapeka 2025 aims to support economic growth, improve connectivity between regions, and provide faster and more efficient transportation services for the community.

"In Gapek 2025, KAI has increased operational speed in 25 cross-Java and 19 across Sumatra. Through an increase in infrastructure of up to 120 km/hour as well as the use of the latest facilities that are much more reliable, the speed of train operations is increasingly optimal. The impact of this increase is the reduction in overall travel time, allowing train customers to arrive sooner at their destination," said Didiek at a press conference at Gambir Station, Friday, January 31.

Didiek added, in line with the increasing demand for transportation services, KAI increased the number of train trips by 8 percent to 17 percent per day compared to existing realizations.

Meanwhile, the transport capacity also increased by 14 percent to 21 percent.

Some trains that get increased travel frequency include:

1. Argo Merbabu Train: From 2 Trains to 6 Trains

2. Taksaka Train: From 4 trains to 6 trains

3. Purwojaya Train: From 2 trains to 6 trains

4. Sawunggalih train: From 4 trains to 6 trains

5. Tawang Jaya Premium Train: From 2 trains to 3 trains

6. KA Menoreh: From 2 trains to 3 trains

7. KA Harina: From 2 trains to 4 trains

8. Pangrango Train: From 6 trains to 8 trains

As part of service innovation, KAI optimizes and changes to routes on several trains to provide better service. Some of the changes made include:

1. Argo Cheribon train: Diverted to Gunungjati and Cakrabuana trains.

2. North Kutojaya train: Diverted to Madiun Jaya train.

3. Argo Parahyangan train: Experiencing a name change to KA Parahyangan with the addition of a stop station.

4. Argo Bromo Anggrek train: It doesn't stop at Bojonegoro & Pekalongan Station so the journey is much faster.

5. Argo Wilis train: It doesn't stop at Ciamis Station so the trip is faster.

At Gapeka 2025, new passenger trains were also present, such as:

1. Madiun Jaya train relationship Madiun Pasarsenen (PP), Executive Class and Economy.

2. The North Sancaka train is related to Surabaya Pasarturi Solo Balapan Cilacap (PP), Executive Class and Business.

3. Cakrabuana train for Gambir Cirebon Purwokerto (PP) connection, Executive Class and Economy.

4. KA Ijen Ekspres Ketapang relation Malang (PP), Executive Class and Economy.

5. Mount Jati train Gambir Cirebon Semarang Tawang Bank Jateng (PP), Executive Class and Economy.

Not only from passenger transportation, KAI also increases the carrying capacity of goods by adding:

1. 6 coal Regular Trains of PT BA to 24 Baratah and 16 Barapati.

2. 3 Private Coal Regular Trains (1 Simpang Muara and 2 Bara Serdang).

Didiek said that improving services in Gapeka 2025 is a form of the government's commitment and the company in providing reliable, efficient, and contributing transportation to national economic growth.
