Issuing New Instructions, Prabowo Gives Special Directions To Sri Mulyani And Tito Karnavian

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto gave special instructions to Finance Minister Sri Mulyani and Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian to make state financial savings.

The policy is contained in the presidential instruction (Inpres) number 1 of 2025 concerning the Efficiency of Expenditures in the Implementation of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) and the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) for the 2025 fiscal year. This rule took effect immediately when it was issued on January 22, 2025.

Furthermore, in the fifth dictum in the Presidential Instruction, the Minister of Finance specifically instructed the Minister of Finance to determine the amount of the efficiency of the expenditure budget for each Ministry/Institution for Fiscal Year 2025.

As for the details, the adjustment starts from the Lack of Revenue Sharing Funds of Rp. 13,903,976,216,000. Then the General Allocation Fund which has been determined to use in the field of public work is Rp. 15,675,550,111,000.

Furthermore, the Physical Special Allocation Fund amounted to Rp. 18,306,195,715,000, Special Autonomy Funds amounted to Rp. 509,455,378,000, Special Funds for the Special Region of Yogyakarta amounting to Rp. 200,000,000,000 and Village Funds amounting to Rp. 2,000,000,000,000.

In addition, the Minister of Finance was also asked to revise the Ministry/Agency budget by blocking the budget and is included in the records of the IVA page of the Budget Implementation List (DIPA) and taking the necessary steps for the implementation of this Presidential Instruction.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian was also asked to monitor the efficiency of spending carried out by the Governor and Regent/Mayor in the implementation of the 2025 Fiscal Year APBD.

Then Tito Karnavian was also asked to take the necessary steps to manage the APBD for the 2025 Fiscal Year in the context of implementing this Presidential Instruction.

Meanwhile, in the sixth dictum at the Presidential Instruction, he instructed the Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency to oversee the implementation of this Presidential Instruction.

"Implementing this Presidential Instruction with full responsibility and maintaining good governance," wrote the seventh dictum to the Presidential Instruction.
