New Nataru Period Train Tickets Sold 1,008,384, KAI: Sales Still Ongoing

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that sales of medium/long distance train tickets only reached 1,008,384 or 36.39 percent of the total number of seats available as many as 2,770,864 tickets.

KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba said ticket sales were still ongoing. That way, he said the movement of ticket sales would also continue to grow.

"The number of ticket sales will continue to change dynamically and increase, because sales are still ongoing," he said in a statement on Friday, December 13.

Based on data per day, continued Anne, the number of train tickets (KA) is medium/long distance and local trains that have been sold for the period of the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays is 1,030,313 tickets from the total seating capacity provided by KAI is 3,572,588.

Of the 1,030,313 tickets sold, there were 1,008,384 medium/long distance trains or 36.39 percent of the total number of seats available as many as 2,770,864 tickets.

Meanwhile, local train sales reached 21,929 tickets or 2.74 percent of the total number of seats provided, namely 801,724 tickets.

Anne said that for medium-distance trains/distance ticket bookings can be done by H-45, while local trains themselves can only be ordered D-30 before departure and there are also several trains that can only be ordered D-7 before departure.

"KAI hopes that people can immediately book tickets and plan holidays carefully because the Nataru River train tickets are still quite widely available," he said.
