Rieke Diah Pitaloka Asks For A Representative Office Of The Ministry Of Industry And Ministry Of Trade In Bekasi: This Is ASEAN's Largest Industrial Area

JAKARTA - Member of Commission VI dpr-ri Rieke Diah Pitaloka asked the government to be able to establish a representative office of the Ministry of Trade (Ministry of Trade) and the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) in bekasi regency.

Because, the area is the place of the largest industrial area in Southeast Asia and quite strategic from the economic side. In his record, there are about 4,000 companies from all over the world that have production facilities in one of the areas of West Java.

"We hope that the government can take the initiative to establish a representative office of the Ministry of Trade and also the Ministry of Industry here. In addition to close the distance so that it is not far to Jakarta, this representative office can also facilitate coordination of businesses," he said in the Socialization of Trade Negotiations that was broadcast virtually, Monday, April 12.

Rieke added, the capability of the manufacturing industry in the country is considered quite reliable. Because, Indonesia has all the potential that can be maximized to be able to compete with a number of countries in the region, especially ASEAN.

"We have abundant raw materials, a lot of human resources, until our own market is so large. Therefore, while there is Pak Wamen (deputy minister) hopefully this goal can be realized," he said in the event that was also attended by Deputy Minister of Trade Jerry Sambuaga.

For information, Rieke Diah Pitaloka is a legislator PDI Perjuangan West Java VII electoral district which covers the area of Bekasi Regency. To that end, he feels an interest in bringing this issue to the government as part of the delivery of constituent aspirations.

Citing data reported by the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin), Bekasi Regency has at least 10 integrated industrial areas with a total area of more than 9,500 hectares.

"We are now leading the industry in the region, and must be maintained in order to bring benefits not only to entrepreneurs, but to all Indonesians," Rieke concluded.
