Entering The Red And White Cabinet, Minister Of Agriculture Amran Reveals 3 Special Messages From Prabowo

JAKARTA - Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman said he received three special messages from President Prabowo Subianto after being inaugurated and entering the Red and White cabinet.

The Minister of Agriculture stated that the message, namely President Prabowo, asked himself to strengthen coordination between institutions, reminded him not to be corrupt, and to realize food self-sufficiency in Indonesia.

"The third submission is to achieve self-sufficiency as quickly as possible," said Amran.

He said that for the first message, namely strengthening coordination between institutions, his party will apply it as well as possible, so that the institution he leads is optimistic that it can realize the Vision and Eight Asta Cita Missions from President Prabowo Subianto.

Furthermore, Amran continued the message from Prabowo not to commit corruption to employees at the Ministry of Agriculture. Amran said that he would not hesitate to take action against employees who were proven to have committed criminal acts of corruption.

This is because it not only harms the state, but also reduces public trust in the Ministry of Agriculture.

"Only two, three people were involved. But the ones affected were the families of the Ministry of Agriculture throughout Indonesia," he said again.

As for the desire for food self-sufficiency, Amran conveyed, President Prabowo wants this to be realized within 4 years.

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto believes that Indonesia can realize food self-sufficiency or independence in meeting food needs for its people no later than 4-5 years.

"I am sure that no later than 4-5 years, we will be self-sufficient in food, we are even ready to become a world food barn," Prabowo said during a speech at the Inauguration of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 period at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Sunday (20/10).

This belief, said Prabowo, arose after discussing with related experts. Therefore, food self-sufficiency must be realized in order to prevent dependence on foodstuffs for other countries. During the crisis, the President said that no country was willing to sell their food ingredients.
