Good News, Pertamina Ensures Fuel And Gas Supplies Are Safe For Ramadan 2021

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina through the West Java Regional Marketing ensures that the supply of fuel oil and LPG is safe ahead of Ramadan 1442 Hijriyah in April 2021.

West Java Pertamina's Communication, Relations and CSR Unit Manager, Eko Kristiawan, said that currently, the average fuel stock security at the Fuel Terminal in the DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten areas still reaches more than 20 days.

"We ensure that the fuel stock at the fuel terminal is safe, so the public doesn't have to worry. Pertamina has also prepared a distribution strategy if at any time, an additional supply is needed", he said, quoted from Antara, Sunday 4 April.

According to him, most of the fuel and LPG supplies in the West Java region are channeled from the Balongan Refinery Unit (RU) VI and Cilacap Refinery Unit (RU) IV, through two Integrated Terminals (BBM & LPG Terminals), 5 Fuel Terminals and 2. LPG Terminal.

The distribution of fuel and LPG terminals in DKI Jakarta area is located in the Integrated Terminal Jakarta Group. Then for Banten area it is at the Tanjung Gerem Fuel Terminal and the Tanjung Sekong LPG Terminal.

Meanwhile, the West Java region is located at the Ujung Berung Fuel Terminal, Cikampek Fuel Terminal, Padalarang Fuel Terminal, Tasikmalaya Fuel Terminal, Balongan Integrated Terminal, and Cirebon LPG Facility.

"We are very concerned about the incident in one of Pertamina's operating units, namely the Balongan Refinery Unit VI. But we ensure that the supply of fuel and LPG in West Java, DKI Jakarta, and Banten is safe and smoothly distributed today", he said.

Meanwhile, currently, fuel consumption in the West Java region is still below normal conditions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In March 2021, the consumption of Gasoline products (Pertalite, Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo) decreased by 12 percent, and Gasoil (Dexlite and Pertamina Dex) was corrected by 10 percent.

As for LPG, 3 kilograms of LPG products increased by 1 percent and 5.5 kilograms of bright gas and 12 kilograms increased by 29 percent. This is because the majority of the population is still carrying out work from home activities.
