JAKARTA - The Papua Provincial Government (Pemprov) through the local Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bapenda) said as many as 19,953 motorized vehicles had taken advantage of the tax fine exemption program which had been implemented since July 2024.

Head of the Papua Regional Revenue Management Agency, Hans Hamadi, stated that the exemption from tax fines was based on the governor's policy so that it was hoped that the public could take advantage of it.

"The tax fine exemption program is carried out from July to October where from these results there are 19,953 motorized vehicles that use it," Hans said as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, October 6.

According to him, in the program, the Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) fine was removed amounting to Rp13.9 billion.

"Then the PKB acceptance reached Rp. 29.2 billion in the period July to August 2024," he said.
