Discount Electricity PLN April-June 2021, Watch The Simulations

JAKARTA - PLN continues to provide electricity stimulus for the public for the period April-June 2021.

This program is in the context of a form of social protection for the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the electricity discount this time has a different amount compared to the assistance in the previous period.

"PLN is ready to support and carry out the government's decision to continue to provide electricity stimulus for small communities, business and social actors affected by Covid-19. Because it is an extension, I am sure the distribution will run smoothly, "said Director of Commerce and PLN Customer Management, Bob Saril, as quoted from the PLN website, Thursday, April 1.

PLN hopes that the presence of an electricity stimulus can encourage people and business actors to remain productive, and increase people's purchasing power in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Based on the letter of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) of the Republic of Indonesia, the stimulus for the April - June 2021 period, the amount will be given half of the previous period, namely:

1. Customers of 450 Volt Ampere power household, 450 VA small business and 450 VA small industry are given a 50 percent discount on electricity rates with a maximum usage of 720 hours of operation.

2. Subsidized 900 VA household customers are given a 25 percent electricity tariff discount with a maximum use of 720 hours on.

3. Exemption of expense or subscription fees, as well as exemption of a minimum account requirement of 50 percent for industrial, business and social customers.

For postpaid customers, discounts are given by directly deducting the customer's electricity bill. Meanwhile, for prepaid customers, a discount on electricity rates is given when purchasing electricity tokens.

"For 450 power prepaid customers, there is no need to access tokens, either on the web, whatsapp services, or PLN Mobile. The stimulus will be immediately obtained when buying electricity tokens, ”added Bob.

PLN also emphasized that for household customers, business and industrial power 450 VA postpaid, because there is a change in the amount of the stimulus, a direct discount is obtained when making electricity bill payments.

"We remind, especially to postpaid 450 VA customers, starting from the account in April 2021, they must make payments again. But of course, with a discount of 50 percent of the stimulus, "said Bob.

Particularly for the exemption of expense, subscription, and exemption of minimum account requirements, stimulus will be provided automatically by cutting electricity bills for social, business and industrial consumers. A discount of 50 percent is only given for expense / subscription fees and minimum account usage fees.

Previously throughout 2020, since April, the Government through PLN has distributed an electricity stimulus amounting to IDR 13.15 trillion to 33.02 million customers. Meanwhile, in the first quarter (January-March 2021) the government has allocated a budget of IDR 4.66 trillion for electricity stimulus.

To provide services to customers related to stimuli, PLN opens a complaint channel through the PLN Mobile application which can be downloaded through the Playstore or AppStore.

Through its social media accounts, PLN also provides simulations about the extension of this discount.
