Backflow Of The Prophet Muhammad's Birthday Long Holiday, KAI Records Train Tickets Sold 178,621

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI noted that ticket sales reached 178,621 tickets on the last day of the long holiday period of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. As for today, it is the peak of backflow during the long holiday period.

The Maulid Holiday of the Prophet Muhammad itself takes place from September 14 to 16, 2024. This period is dominated by train passengers from various cities on the island of Java to Jakarta.

"Today is the peak of backflow with ticket sales that have reached 178,621 tickets or 119.09 percent of the 149,988 available seats," said KAI Vice President Public Relations Anne Purba in an official statement, Monday, September 16.

Anne said the total ticket sales from September 13 to 16, namely 724,141 or 121.79 percent of the available seats were 594,606 seats.

"During this holiday period, KAI has operated 113 medium-distance, long-distance train (KA) trips towards Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Purwokerto, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Tegal and other cities," he said.

"City with tourist destinations is a favorite destination for travelers during this long holiday," he continued.
