Jokowi Inaugurates A Number Of Infrastructures In East Java, Total Budget Reaches IDR 2.14 Trillion

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated a number of infrastructures in East Java Province, today. The infrastructure that was inaugurated was one Djuanda Flyover, 9 replacements for the Callender Hamilton (CH) bridge and 11 roads.

The Djuanda Flyover project itself has been built since 2022 with a total budget of IDR 363 billion.

Then, the replacement of 9 797 meter (m) long CH bridges which cost up to IDR 1.4 trillion. Replacement of 9 CH bridges is spread across 8 districts/cities of East Java Province, namely in Kediri, Blitar, Tulungagung district, Pacitan Regency, Trenggalek Regency, Bojonegoro, Jember City and Banyuwangi Regency.

"And the third we will also inaugurate 11 66 kilometers (km) of roads with a cost budget of Rp379 billion," Jokowi said as seen on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Friday, September 6.

Jokowi believes that with the development of infrastructure that is getting better, the movement of people and goods in East Java Province will run smoothly.

In addition, Jokowi hopes that the competitiveness and economic growth will also increase in the future.

"With the better infrastructure, the operation of the flyover, bridges and roads that I conveyed earlier, the movement of people and goods in East Java Province will be smoother. Then, the competitiveness and economic growth will also increase," Jokowi explained.

"By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim, Fyover Djuanda, 9 bridges to replace CH, 11 roads built under the instructions of the president (Inpres) of regional roads in East Java Province, this morning I declare that they have been inaugurated," he added.
