Deputy Minister Of SOEs: Indofarma Will Turn Business Into Made To Order Company

Deputy Minister of SOEs Kartika Wirjoatmodjo revealed efforts to restore the business of PT Indofarma Tbk.

One of them is changing Indofarma's business pattern to comply with orders.

For your information, the issuer with the stock code INAF is currently restructuring debt and correcting after experiencing a fraud case which is currently being handled by the Attorney General's Office (AGO).

Deputy Minister of SOEs Kartika Wirjoatmodjo explained that after completing the PKPU process, the Indofarma business will continue. Later, Indofarma will carry out production after getting an order.

"We have just finished PKPU which produces homologation, indeed later we plan this Indofarma to become a company called made to order sir, makloon," he told reporters at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, written Tuesday, September 3.

The man who is familiarly called Tiko said that Indofarma's production pattern has changed from previously producing goods or drugs independently.

In addition, he continued, Indofarma production will also follow the request from the Pharmaceutical BUMN Holding, PT Bio Farma (Persero).

"So later he will no longer produce independent but made to order or makloon where later there will be orders from Bio Farma and they will produce, for that they will do efficiency," explained Tiko.

Previously, Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Kartika Wirjoatmodjo said that the settlement of PT Indofarma Tbk's (INAF) obligations to employees would be fulfilled from selling assets.

Meanwhile, based on information collected by the Indofarma Workers Union (SP Indofarma), there are employee rights that are in arrears of Rp95 billion.

This figure includes obligations to Indofarma employees amounting to IDR 65 billion and Indofarma Global Medika (IGM) worth IDR 30 billion.

"Later, our employees will provide asset sales that we will sell in stages to resolve personnel issues in order to get efficient in the future," he said in a Working Meeting with Commission VI of the DPR RI, at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday, September 2.
