Jokowi Officially Inaugurates Rosan Roeslani As Minister Of Investment To Replace Bahlil Lahadalia

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) officially inaugurated three ministers and one new deputy minister of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.

Rosan Roeslani was in arrears to become Minister of Investment until Bahlil Lahadalia was appointed Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.

President Jokowi carried out the inauguration and oath-taking at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday, August 19.

Apart from Rosan and Bahlil, Jokowi also appointed Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) Supratman Andi Atgas who was appointed to replace Yasona Laoly. Jokowi also visited the Deputy Minister of Communication and Information (Wemenkominfo) Angga Raka Prabowo.

Jokowi before inaugurating the four people asked about the oath that would be taken according to Islam.

Before I take the oath regarding the insulation of brothers as state ministers and deputy state ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Working Cabinet in the remaining positions for the 2019-2024 period. What's more, I'll ask you are you Muslim?" Jokowi asked.

"Islam, sir," answered the four simultaneously.

"Will you be willing to take the oath according to Islamic religion?" Jokowi asked.

"Willing," answered the four.

Jokowi also took the oath of the four of them to be inaugurated as ministers and deputy ministers, along with the oath read by Jokowi.

"Then please follow and repeat my words. By Allah I swear that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out all laws and regulations as straight as possible. For the sake of my service to the nation and state that in carrying out my duties, I uphold the ethics of my position to work as well as possible with a full sense of responsibility," said Jokowi, who was followed by the four people.

In this inauguration ceremony, Vice President Ma'ruf Amin was also present; Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto; Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan; Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan; Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang: Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir, Minister of State Secretary Praktikno; Deputy Chairperson of the MPR as Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani; to Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco.
