BTN Wins 4 Awards From ESG Initiatives Awards 2024

JAKARTA - BTN has made another achievement. This time at the 2024 ESG Initiatives (EIA). The award is a public recognition for BTN's commitment to implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance-based principles in its business operations. BTN is one of the award-winning banks between 21 companies and individuals.

Four awards were won by BTN, namely, Best ESG Investment Innovation Best ESG Reporting & Transparency, Best Sustainable Finance Leadership, and Best Integrated ESG Champion in Risk Management for Wilson Arafat, as the BTN Head Management Management Transformation. Director of Risk Management BTN Setiyo Wibowo said that the achievement of awards in the field of ESG proves the consistency of BTN as the leading bank in the application of ESG principles and innovations.

This is stated in the framework, initiative, and roadmap of ESG 2023-2028 which has been carried out by BTN throughout its business activities, in order to realize its ESG mission, namely Become the ESG Champion in the banking industry.

"We continue to apply the principle of sustainability in every line of business. This commitment can be seen from the strong will and participation of BTN to become a member of the United Nations Environmental Program Financial Initiative (UNEP FI) recently, in order to implement the United Nations Principles for Responsible Banking (UN Principles for Responsible Banking)," said Setiyo Wibowo, Director of Risk Management BTN through a written statement received by VOI, Thursday, August 15.

Carrying the theme 'Advancing Sustainability Through Innovative Transformation', EIA 2024 encourages cooperation between the government, business sector, and civil society in taking strategic steps to address global challenges. BTN has gone through a rigorous judging process and a comprehensive evaluation by the 2024 EIA Jury, based on its performance and innovation in accordance with the ESG framework at the international level.
