ASDP Deposits IDR 31 Billion Dividend In The 2023 Fiscal Year

JAKARTA - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) became a state-owned logistics sector that contributed dividends to the state in the 2023 financial year amounting to IDR 31 billion. The amount of the deposit was driven by the company's steady performance.

ASDP Corporate Secretary Shelvy Arifin said the dividend was achieved after ASDP managed to carve an increase in financial performance. As evidenced in the 2023 consolidated performance report that has been audited, ASDP posted revenue of IDR 5.032 trillion and net profit of IDR 637 billion.

The profit value, continued Shelvy, was again the highest profit achievement in ASDP history or grew 9 percent from 2022 profit of only IDR 585 billion. In fact, 2023's revenue exceeded revenue in normal conditions before COVID-19 in 2019 of IDR 3.328 trillion and an increase of 15 percent compared to the realization in 2022 of IDR 4.38 trillion.

Shelvy explained that the increase in financial performance was the result of various efficiency strategies and operational improvements implemented by management.

"We see a positive trend in financial performance which is the result of a commitment to continue optimizing service operations so that the company is able to serve the public interest," Shelvy said in an official statement, Monday, July 22.

Shelvy emphasized that the positive trend of the company's performance is also supported by digital innovation carried out by ASDP. This digital innovation plays an important role in increasing the efficiency and productivity of the company.

Digital transformation, including online ticket booking systems and technology-based operational management, has helped in improving service efficiency and optimization," he explained.

This achievement is proof that the strategy in improving services and operations is already underway. We will continue to strive to maintain and improve our financial performance, as well as provide the best service for service users," he continued.

With these various financial and operational achievements, ASDP has been able to show its commitment to continue to grow and make a positive contribution to a better national economy in the future.

For information, ASDP has so far served around 290 crossing routes in the country. Of these, 70 percent of them are pioneer transportation routes that connect areas that are lagging behind, remote, outermost and border (3TP).

In addition, ASDP also facilitates the mobilization of passengers and goods to expand connectivity to the 3TP area. Thus, the remaining 30 percent are commercial routes that support pioneer routes.

Previously reported, SOE Minister Erick Thohir said the total dividend of IDR 85.52 trillion was contributed by 20 SOEs. One of them is ASDP.

"Alhamdulillah, the hard work of all commissioners, directors, and all BUMN personnel can make a positive contribution to Indonesia. Hopefully, the dividend of IDR 85.5 trillion given by SOEs to the state can be a big benefit for the wider community," said Erick.
