BPK Finds Problems In The Lapkeu Of The Coordinating Ministry For The Economy And KPPU In 2023

JAKARTA - The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) found several problems in the Financial Statements (Lapkeu) of the Coordinating Ministry (Kemenko) of the Economy and the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) in 2023.

"Even though they have obtained WTP (unqualified) opinions, BPK still finds several problems related to the internal control system (SPI) and compliance with the provisions of the legislation," said BPK II Member Daniel Lumban Tobing as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, July 21.

In the BPK Examination Result Report (LHP), the problems that exist in the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy regarding the existence of official travel expenditures are not accompanied by evidence of accountability in accordance with the provisions.

For this problem, BPK recommends Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto to order the Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy to provide guidance to Commitment Making Officials (PPK) for their inaccuracies.

That way, the PPK must withdraw and deposit it into the state treasury for expenditures that cannot be accounted for.

During the KPPU Lapkeu examination, BPK found that the problem related to the management of non-tax state revenue receivables (PNBP) fines for violations of business competition were not fully adequate.

The BPK advised the KPPU chairman to order the KPPU Secretary-General to instruct the Head of Legal Aid and Execution to be more optimal in controlling and supervising the settlement of Non-Tax Receivables that could potentially not be billed and updating data on inkracht decisions.

"The Coordinating Minister for the Economy and the Chairperson of the KPPU are expected to continue to carry out concrete steps to follow up on the recommendations from the BPK examination results and can immediately complete the recommendations provided by the BPK," he said.
