After Being Inaugurated, Deputy Minister Claims To Be Ready To Work 28 Hours For The Welfare Of Farmers

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Agriculture (Wamentan) Sudaryono admitted that being ready to work 28 hours a day helped the success of Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman's program in increasing agricultural productivity for the food supply of the community and prospering Indonesian farmers.

"If the Minister conveyed that he worked 24 hours, sir I am 28 hours (ready to work)," said Sudaryono quoting Antara.

This statement was made by Sudaryono when responding to former Deputy Minister of Agriculture Harvick Hasnul Qolbi who said that he did not know the time that Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman could call at any time, even at 02.00 or 03.00 in the morning.

According to Sudaryono, the commitment to work for up to 28 hours is not only to carry out tasks to succeed, but as a charity for the welfare of farmers and providing sufficient food for the people, nation and state.

"We all believe and realize that this food is a primary need for everyone. We can not ride a car, we can walk, say so. But we can't if we don't eat," he said.

He admitted that he was ready to give his best for the success of the Ministry of Agriculture program under the leadership of Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman.

"I am certainly a new official mandated as Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Minister (Andi Amran Sulaiman), my spirit to come here is good faith, a clean heart, a desire to serve," he said.

Although he admits that he still has to learn a lot about the bureaucracy, organizational structure, management and others within the Ministry of Agriculture.

"What is my benchmark as Deputy Minister of Agriculture? I say that my success is the success of the Minister of Agriculture, my success is the success of helping, the success of whatever the Minister orders me, I carry out as well as possible," said Sudaryono.

Sudaryono replaces the position of Harvick Hasnul Qolbi who has ended his term as Deputy Minister of Agriculture.

The former personal assistant to the General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, will serve as Deputy Minister of the Republic of Indonesia for the next three months, ahead of the full duties of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government cabinet in October 2024.
