The President Director Was Not Present At The PMN Approval Meeting, KAI Was Sprayed By Commission VI Of The DPR

JAKARTA - Commission VI of the DPR held a joint meeting with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI today. The meeting discussed the participation of state capital (PMN). However, President Director Didiek Hartantyo was not present at the meeting. As a result, the board of directors representing was sprayed by members of the DPR.

Initially, Deputy Chairman of Commission VI of the DPR as the chair of the meeting, Mohamad Hekal, said that KAI proposed PMN for the 2025 fiscal year of IDR 1.8 trillion.

There is a proposal for PMN 2025, namely for PT KAI in the amount of Rp1.8 trillion. Today, millions heard and continued the deepening that had been discussed previously," he said in a hearing with BUMN Infrastructure, at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 9.

Then, the chairperson of the meeting gave the readiness of the KAI board of directors to provide a deeper explanation regarding PMN. KAI Director of Finance and Risk Management Salusra Wijaya also introduced the directors present.

Salusra also explained that KAI President Director Didiek Hartantyo was unable to attend because there was a meeting with Siemens, the technical operator of the Jabodebek LRT for signaling and telecommunications.

"This meeting has been scheduled from last week, and has tried to be revised but one and another things cannot be changed, sir," said Salusra.

Hearing Salusra's answer, Mufti questioned how it was possible that the President Director of KAI was not present at the PMN approval meeting. In fact, the PMN requested by KAI is not small.

"Please allow the leadership, we want to discuss this regarding PMN approval. This means that PMN is not important for the President Director, it is more important for Siemens earlier. If necessary (this meeting) should be postponed if it is not important. Or just leave it with KAI, sir," said Mufti.

Similarly, a member of Commission VI of the House of Representatives from the PDI-P faction, Darmadi Durianto, said that the nominal value proposed by KAI was not small.

"Yes, the leader, this is not the small value of the requested leadership. But the president director is not present," said Darmadi.

Seeing the polemic that occurred, Mohamad Hekal as the chair of the meeting also explained that he had received a letter from KAI on July 5, 2024. The letter explained that the President Director of KAI could not attend because he was meeting the CEO of Siemens Asia Pacific in Paris, France.

KAI, continued Hekal, has also assigned KAI's Director of Finance and Risk Management as well as KAI's Director of Business and Institutional Development to attend the PMN approval meeting today.

"This is why he actually did not attend yesterday (the last meeting), and it was communicated to the leadership. So we ask that at least he can be present to explain, then we will then give it to be represented. If not, there was nothing. It was postponed to departure, sir. Because I asked to be present first to meet friends, "explained Hekal.

The meeting was resumed because Salusra emphasized that he had been given the authority to represent the President Director of KAI present at today's meeting. The authority has also been delegated legally.

"The permit has been legally delegated to the Director of Finance and Risk Management of PT KAI to hold the power of the President Director," said Salusra.
