JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is said to be one of a total of 210 ministries and government agencies affected by cyber ransomware attacks at the National Data Center (PDN).
Responding to this, the Secretary General of the Ministry of PUPR Mohammad Zainal Fatah ensured that the cyber attack did not have an impact on PUPR operations.

"It's been announced, it's the same as Kominfo. Yes, it's normal, but we're still running. I can still use face recognition," said Zainal Fatah when met at his office, Friday, June 28.
"Employee operations? No (affected). But, we can't blame Kominfo, right. We are both looking for something better. Because they ended up being attacked like this, right, a challenge for us," he continued.
On the other hand, Zainal Fatah explained that his party also has digital data backups.
The reason is, the Ministry of PUPR has an internal server to store data.
Before being integrated with PDN, said Zainal Fatah, dat was already stored on the internal PUPR server first.
"There must be (backup the data)," he said.
Even so, Zainal Fatah said, his party must also check in more detail how much PUPR data was affected by the cyber attack.
This will be done in the near future.
"Yes. We definitely need it. Only if we are asked how much details or exactly it must be checked," he added.
