Minister Basuki Becomes Acting Head Of Authority, Land Bank: Supports Our Bureaucratics For Land Procurement

JAKARTA - Head of the Tanah Bank Agency, Parman Natamatmadja, admitted that the change in leadership of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) could support his party in the bureaucracy to meet land needs in IKN.

Thus, Bank Tanah will help accelerate land acquisition at IKN.

"Pak Basuki, right, one of the committees at the Land Bank Agency certainly greatly supports the Land Bank Agency," said Parman when met at the Pullman Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday, June 26.

The Land Bank Agency itself has an important role in helping land preparation in the IKN area and its surroundings. One of them is for the development of Penajam Eco City in Penajam Paser Utara (PPU) which is an area that supports IKN.

Penajam Eco City itself is designed to have an area of 4,162 hectares (ha), of which 1,000 hectares are used for commercial areas, toll roads to VVIP Airport.

Parman said that currently his party has managed 18,758 ha of land assets spread throughout Indonesia, including land for the PPU.

Meanwhile, Bank Tanah targets land asset management to reach 23,000 ha throughout 2024.

"We have a target this year. We make our own (target) with the approval of the Minister (Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency) 23,000 ha we will get. But, it's still small for one country, yes," he said.

To achieve this target, his party will target 31 potential points in Indonesia by the end of this year.

"God willing, we want to be like the Indonesia Land Bank Authority. But, like in Singapore and other countries. Actually, the existence of a Land Bank provides convenience for investors and also legal certainty to acquire land," said Parman.

"Also for the government, want to build a new toll road route 1. The second toll road has stalled because the price is even those who don't want it. With our land, the government just asks, it will be finished immediately," he concluded.
