Emtek's Digital Bank Officially Launches, Offers Interest Up To 6 Percent

JAKARTA - The digital bank belonging to the Emtek Group, PT Super Bank Indonesia (Superbank) officially launched today, Wednesday, June 19.

This digital bank targets millions of Grab users and partners as well as offers account openings, saving, and getting 6 percent interest per year and making it a payment method in the Grab application without having to download the Superbank application first.

Superbank President Director Tigor M. Siahaan said Superbank also offered a 75 percent Super Discount for GrabFood and GrabBike and Dine-Out Discounts in more than 1,000 restaurants that could be combined with other promos.

"This launch is a significant step for Superbank in expanding easy, safe and affordable financial access to the community, as well as supporting wider financial inclusion," he said in his remarks at the launch of the Superbank in Jakarta, Wednesday, June 19.

Responding to the high interest rate, the Country Managing Director, Grab Indonesia Neneng Goenadi said, high savings interest offers from Superbank at 6 percent per year are expected to help the community.

"This is in line with our mission to have a wider positive impact on a sustainable basis through technological innovation and economic empowerment. We are optimistic that the presence of Superbank can also contribute to financial inclusion in Indonesia," he added.

A number of Superbank features offered are: 1. Account Opening Without Additional Applications

Grab users can now open a Superbank account directly through the Grab application without the need to download the Superbank application first.

This account can be directly linked and used as a payment method in Grab applications for various services, such as GrabFood, GrabBike, GrabCar, GrabExpress, and GrabMart.

With this feature, the account registration process is faster and reduces the use of user phone storage.

2. Interest 6 percent per Year Users who open a Superbank account through the Grab application also get savings interest of 6 percent per year which can be disbursed at any time.

This offers opportunities for users to save more efficiently and favorably.

3. Super Discounts and Dine-Out Superbank Discounts present Super Discount 75 for GrabFood and GrabBike as well as an exclusive dine-Out GrabFood Discount for Grab users who use Superbanks at well-known merchants in more than 1,000 locations.

These two offers can also be combined with other offers and promos. In addition to the features and offers above, currently Superbank is also offering Self-Regulation Loans (PAS) to selected Grab users in stages.
