Rules Out! This Is The Rooftop PLTS Quota For 2024-2028

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of Electricity issued a Decree of the Director General of Electricity Number 279.k/TL.03/DJL.2/2024 concerning the PLN Roof PLTS System Development Quota for 2024 to 2028.

The regulation states that the amount of the quota set has increased every year. The quota in 2024 reached 901 megawatts (MW), while for 2025 it increased to 1,004 MW, 1,065 MW in 2026, 1,183 MW in 2027 and 1,593 MW in 2028.

"PT PLN (Persero) should prepare a quota for the development of the roof PLTS system based on clustering by referring to the PLN 2024 '2028 roof PLTS quota," said the Second Dictum of the regulation, quoted Wednesday, June 5.

Then in the dictum of the five rules, it is stated that PT PLN (Persero) is obliged to report the roof PLTS system development quota based on clustering to the Director General of Electricity and the Director General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation.

Later, PLN will also be obliged to publish the quota for developing the roof PLTS system based on clustering through the page, application, and/or social media of PT PLN (Persero) and must be carried out within a period of no later than 10 working days from the decision of the Director General set on Thursday 27 June 2024.

If necessary, the Director General of Electricity can order PT PLN (Persero) to change the quota for developing the roof PLTS system and PT PLN (Persero) must submit the amendments to the Director General of Electricity in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.
