"In Southeast Sulawesi Province, in 2023 22 roads have been repaired at a cost of Rp. 631 billion and as many as two roads are in West Muna Regency with a cost of Rp. 42.4 billion," Jokowi said in a written statement, Monday, May 13.

Jokowi said that the implementation of the IJD aims to make roads in each district/city smooth and good. "So, increasing transportation speed, better logistics distribution and the community benefiting from the better roads," he said.

On the same occasion, Minister Basuki said the implementation (IJD) refers to Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 3 of 2023 concerning the Acceleration of Increased Connectivity of Regional Roads.

In the 2023 fiscal year (TA), the Ministry of PUPR through the Directorate General of Highways has allocated a national budget of IDR 14.6 trillion for handling 2,873 km of regional roads throughout the country.
