JAKARTA - The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) for the first time in Indonesia will hold their biggest tourist promotion event. The event titled "Experience Macao" Roadshow will be held at Central Park Mall (Laguna Atrium) from May 9 to 12, 2024. Together with the Hengqin Economic Development Bureau and six (6) the company's integrated resort in Macao, this event will present Macao's new image as a Tourism and World Holiday Center to the Indonesian people.

The six leading integrated resorts Macao who took part in this event were SJM Resorts, S.A., MGM, Macau Resortsung, China Ltd., Galaxy Entertainment Group, and Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited, each of which will show the uniqueness of the resort. From luxury accommodation to world-class entertainment, visitors will find unrivaled excitement and joy that awaits them in Macao. In addition, by working with Air Macau and nine Indonesian travel agents, MGTO is dedicated to providing the best offers and travel packages to visitors during the event.

"With the increasing number of direct flights connecting Macao with destinations in Southeast Asia and the launch of Air Macau's direct flights between Jakarta and Macau in November 2023, the interest of Indonesian tourists to visit Macao has increased rapidly," said Macao Government Tourism Office Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes.

Introducing Element Tourism + Element

Macao's government is currently reshaping relations between tourism, play zones, MICE and other new industries, encouraging the development of quality tourism, supporting operator industries to develop new tourism products, encouraging wider growth in the tourism industry chain, and deepening cross-sector integration under the name Tourism +, including Tourism + MICE, Tourism + Culture and Creativity, Tourism + E-commerce, Tourism + Sports, Tourism + Education and so on.

"MGTO will continue to actively seek opportunities for cooperation between Macao and Indonesia, and we hope to welcome more Indonesian mountains to Macao and strengthen our relationship with the Indonesian tourism industry," explained Helena de Senna Fernandes.

Event Excitement

Based on the theme "Experience Macao", this roadshow will feature a variety of Macao's "Tourism +" elements and create a number of interesting and fun interactive gaming zones, including visitors having the opportunity to appear as if to see the Macao World Heritage Historical Center, landmarks and cultural experiences Macao, gastronomi and others through advanced VR headsets, Macau Grand Prix simulators, make fireworks with interactive games, and the immersive Portugueseugious Portuguese Egg cake interactive installation.

The event will also feature a number of stage performances, including Indonesian superstar Lyodra Ginting, TBA musical group, UN1TY, as well as lion dances, Portuguese people dances, A Cappella and Bossa Nova performances.

Visitors can have the opportunity to win Macao-themed souvenirs through collection of stamps and interactive sessions at the location. Grand Lucky Draw will be held at 16:30 WIB and 20:30 WIB every day. For the lucky ones, the prize is in the form of a trip to Macao.
