President Director of PT Jasamarga Balikpapan Samarinda Muhammad Taufik said the increase in traffic (traffic) occurred in line with the national holiday commemoration of the Ascension of Jesus Christ which falls on May 9.
"It is estimated that 60,146 vehicles will cross the toll road that connects Balikpapan City with Samarinda City on long holidays from 8-12 May 2024," Taufik said in a written statement, Tuesday, May 7.
Taufik detailed that this figure increased by 15.17 percent compared to the normal daily traffic volume in 2024 or 52,224 vehicles.
