InJourney Airport Serves 5.9 Million Passengers During The 2024 Eid Homecoming Period

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia or InJourney Airports noted that it has served 5.9 million passenger movements during the Eid al-Fitr or Eid Al-Fitr 2024 period.

The operating period of the 2024 Eid Command Post is set for 13 days from April 3 to April 15.

InJourney Airports President Director Faik Fahmi said when compared to the same period traffic at the Lebaran 2023 Command Post, this number experienced a growth of 4 percent for passenger movements.

Meanwhile, continued Faik, during the Lebaran 2024 homecoming period, InJourney Airport also noted that it had served 45,287 aircraft movements. This number has increased by 4 percent compared to the same period last year.

"During this period, InJourney Airports also noted that it has served 3,551 additional flight realizations or extra flights," he said in an official response received by VOI, in Jakarta, Wednesday, April 17.

At the peak of the return flow of Lebaran April 15 or D+4, continued Faik, it was recorded that InJourney Airport served 571,360 passenger movements. The number of passenger movements at the peak of Lebaran's backflow was 24 percent higher than the peak of Lebaran's backflow last year with 460,550 movements.

Meanwhile, for aircraft movements, continued Faik, InJourney Airports also recorded 3,807 movements at managed airports. This number is 10 percent higher than the peak of last year's Eid backflow with 3,447 aircraft movements.

At the peak of Lebaran 2024, InJourney Airports recorded three airports with the highest number of passenger movements were Soekarno-Hatta Airport with 186,744 movements, Bali I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport with 71,351 movements, and Juanda Airport Surabaya with 54,819 movements.

"Currently we are focusing on being able to provide excellent service in the remaining 2024 Eid Transport period. Even though the peak of the flow has occurred, the commitment to ensuring smooth flight operations at all managed airports will not decrease at all," said Faik.
