JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) or HK as the manager of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) said that there are two toll roads that will be functionalized during the 2024 Eid homecoming flow.

The two sections in question are the Bangkinang-Pangkalan Phase I Toll Road for the Bangkinang-Koto Kampar Section and the Indrapura-Kisaran Toll Road for the Limapuluh-Kisaran Section.

"(There are) two JTTS sections that are planned to be functionalized, namely the Bangkinang-Pangkalan Phase I Toll Road for the Bangkinang-Koto Kampar section and the Indrapura-Kisaran Toll Road for Section Limapuluh-Kisaran," said EVP Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Tjahjo Purnomo in a written statement received by VOI, Tuesday, March 26.

Tjahjo said that his party had just conducted a Provisional Hand Over (PHO) on further work for the Bangkinang-Pangkalan Phase I toll road project which is the scope of Hutama Karya's subsidiary, namely PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI) on Thursday-Friday or March 21 to March 22, 2024.

The PHO activity began with the implementation of field inspection activities by the Hutama Karya committee/official team receiving the work results (PPHP), which was then closed with a plenary meeting for the implementation of the PPHP examination.

He explained that this activity is a stage in an effort to accelerate the operation of better toll roads, with inspections carried out in accordance with the provisions of the applicable contract.

"Alhamdulillah, for two days an inspection has been carried out which includes checking administrative completeness to the physical condition of the work. We can functionalize this toll road on Lebaran to support the mobility of travelers, especially in Riau Province," he said.

Later, the Bangkinang-Pangkalan Phase I Toll Road for the Bangkinang-Koto Kampar section will soon be submitted for the implementation of the Functional Feasibility Test (ULF) application, for further checks by the regulator or the Ministry of PUPR. The hope is that it can receive an Operational Feasibility Certificate (SLO) in mid-2024.

It is known, the Bangkinang-Pangkalan Phase I toll road for the Bangkinang-Koto Kampar section has a 24.7 kilometer (km) road with a total of 2x2 lanes. The speed of the plan is 80 km/hour, which can streamline toll road users' trips from 1 hour to only 15-20 minutes.

This toll road is equipped with various structural facilities, such as 8 bridges, 9 box pedestrian + box culverts, 3 overpasses, 1 interchange and 2 toll gates.

"In addition to facilitating mobility and cutting the travel time of travelers, this toll road also provides special benefits for the surrounding community, namely increasing MSMEs at the location of exits/toll entrances, opening job opportunities to the surrounding community from during the construction process to operations," he added.
