Andil Conglomerate Aguan Succeeds Jokowi's Infrastructure Project, From Singkawang Airport To IKN

JAKARTA - The boss of Agung Sedayu Group, namely Aguan-Sugianto Kusuma, was involved in the success of infrastructure project development in the era of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) leadership.

Most recently, Aguan's loyalty to supporting Indonesia's infrastructure development was seen again after he was re-engaged in the construction of Singkawang Airport in West Kalimantan which was just inaugurated by President Jokowi on Wednesday, March 20.

Aguan's involvement in a number of infrastructure projects also received appreciation from Jokowi. In fact, the head of state thanked Aguan.

"The Singkawang Airport was built under the KPBU scheme and also CSR assistance from successful entrepreneurs from Singkawang," said Jokowi quoting the official website of the Presidential Secretariat, Thursday, March 21.

Jokowi explained that the contribution of entrepreneurs from Singkawang, including Aguan in the airport construction which was built since 2019, reached up to IDR 155 billion.

Meanwhile, the portion of the cost injection disbursed by the government at the construction of Singkawang Airport is IDR 272 billion.

Jokowi also requested that the financing cooperation scheme between the government and the Indonesian conglomerate can be continued in the future.

"If this pattern can be carried out at many airports or many projects or many ports, this will accelerate the development of infrastructure in our country. Once again, for entrepreneurs, I would like to express my deepest gratitude," he said.

Aguan himself is not only involved in the construction of infrastructure projects in the Jokowi era. Currently, Aguan is also leading the Nusantara Consortium in the construction of one of the projects in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).

It is known that the consortium led by Aguan has now invested up to IDR 20 trillion to build a mixed used development project in the form of malls, hotels and office areas in IKN.

Not only that, the Nusantara Consortium has again increased the portion of investment in IKN to work on the botanical garden project. Later, if the investment plan is realized, the total investment disbursed by Aguan Cs at IKN is said to reach Rp40 trillion.
