JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) targets the Padang-Sicincin (Pacin) toll road project to be ready to operate in July 2024.
Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Tjahjo Purnomo is optimistic that this project will be completed according to the target with Minimum Service Standards (SPM) and operatingworthiness.
Tjahjo said this project was built using a number of construction digitization technologies, such as the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM).
The use of the technology starts from the design process to the construction.
"God willing, we will functionalize this toll road in July. With the use of a number of construction digitization technologies, we hope it can be completely completed in the third quarter of this year," said Tjahjo in a written statement, quoted on Friday, March 8.
He explained that this toll road will be equipped with a number of facilities, such as 3 toll gates, 1 pair of Type A Rest & Service Places (TIP) at STA 22+000.
Then, there are a number of refinery buildings, such as 8 river bridges, 2 irrigation bridges and 14 underbridge bridges.
This toll road will also be equipped with a number of 2x2 lanes with a plan speed of 80 km/hour. This will shorten the travel time from Padang to Bukittinggi to just one hour.
"With the TIP encouraging MSMEs, it will increase the property value and potential for housing development, to expand the distribution of industrial production products, farmers, fishermen and breeders because they can be immediately brought to markets in the areas around Pekanbaru, Dumai and Jambi," he said.
