Coordinating Ministry For Maritime Affairs And Fisheries: Airline Ticket Prices At Three DPSPs Drop

TOBA - Deputy for Tourism and Creative Economy of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves) Odo Manuhutu said, there was a decrease in the price of airplane tickets after the government took a policy to lower the ticket price for aircraft in three Super Priority Tourism Destinations (DPSP).

Odo explained that the decline in plane ticket prices starts from 12-20 percent in three DPSPs, namely Sisingamangaraja XII/Silangit International Airport (Danau Toba), Lombok International Airport (Mandalika), and Komodo Labuan Bajo Airport (Labuan Bajo).

"So that's government policy, cross-ministerial cooperation, namely the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs, the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Transportation, and Pertamina," said Odo as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, March 3.

He explained that the policy had been agreed with the airlines that operated its planes at the three airports at the DPSP, so that since a few days ago prices had decreased compared to before. "The price of tickets was influenced by three components, namely the price of avtur and spare parts, so that has been discussed with airlines. Meanwhile, we will see again in the three DPSPs," he said. Furthermore, he explained, the policy was taken to increase domestic and foreign tourist visits, so that the economic turnover in the three destinations could be more. Odo said that the policy was not only in the moment of the implementation of the 2024 Lake Toba F1 international event which took place on March 2-3, but for the next time to boost the tourism industry. With that policy, said Odo again, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy as well as local governments in the tourist destination area could make maximum use of it to create a large agenda of events. The public is also advised to travel more frequently in the country, especially in the three DPSPs. The government sets five DPSPs in Indonesia, namely Lake Toba (North Sumatra), Candi Borobudur (Cent Java), Likupang (North Sulawesi), Mandalika (North Nusa Tenggara), and Labuan Bajo (East Nusa Tenggara).

On this day and Sunday, Indonesia for the second time hosted the super fast motorboat race or F1H2O (F1 Powerboat) series Lake Toba.F1 Powerboat this year was attended by 18 racers from nine teams and came from 10 countries.
