Minister Of PUPR: IKN Progress Phase 1 Capai 74.87 Percent

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) reported that the physical progress of the basic infrastructure work of the Capital City of Nusantara (IKN) Phase 1 totaling 40 packages has reached 74.87 percent to date.

"The progress of the basic infrastructure development of IKN Nusantara in East Kalimantan, especially the basic infrastructure work of IKN Phase 1 totaling 40 packages has reached 74.87 percent," said PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono in a written statement received by VOI, Thursday, February 22.

Minister Basuki said that the progress of the IKN Nusantara development was still in accordance with the plan in terms of the implementation schedule and the targets set by the government.

"I think in terms of implementation time and work targets are still on schedule," he said.

Basuki added that his party had started the construction of basic infrastructure in IKN since early September 2022, including connectivity, provision of raw water, sanitation and government offices in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP).

The development of basic infrastructure and government buildings at KIPP is the main capital to build public trust and attract investors to invest in IKN.

"Some time ago a number of groundbreakings were carried out by President Joko Widodo. For example, office buildings, hospitals and hotels. We also welcome the BPK audit process to ensure that all activities at IKN are carried out with good governance," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force (Kasatgas), Danis Sumadilaga, said that the IKN development was divided into two batches by the end of 2024.

As for batch 1 which has been running as many as 40 work packages with physical progress reaching 74.87 percent as of February 15, 2024. Meanwhile, batch 2 has run 49 work packages with 24 percent progress.

For a total of 89 packages running, the budget that has been allocated is IDR 68.57 trillion.

"In the context of preparing for the August 17 Ceremony in the IKN area, almost all infrastructure is included in Batch 1. For example, the Presidential Office Building, State Palace and Ceremony Field have reached 56.37 percent. Meanwhile, the Presidential Office itself has reached 74.94 percent," he said.

Then, for the construction of the toll road which is the main access to the IKN area, it is currently running in three sections, namely Section 3A Karangjoang-KKT Kariangau with a length of 13.4 km with a progress of 70.9 percent, Section 3B KKT Kariangau- Tempadung Intersection with a progress of 70 percent and Section 5A Simpang Tempadung-Jembatan Pulau Balang with a progress of 77.8 percent.

"Besides batch 1, we are also on-going batch 2. One of our strategic ones is preparing the construction of 47 residential towers for ASN, TNI and Polri. Especially for the preparation of the 17 August 2024 Ceremony, God willing, in July 2024, 12 residential towers will be completed and equipped with furniture to be used immediately," he said.

Working visit activities in the context of the BPK Audit, which started from Balikpapan City, passed the IKN Access Toll Road to the Balang Island Bridge, to IKN Nusantara VVIP Airport.

Furthermore, to the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) IKN Nusantara by visiting the Presidential Office and Ceremony Field at the Presidential Palace Area, ASN residential tower and continued to the Sepaku Semoi Dam.
