TANGERANG - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) targets that this year there will be at least 80 Vending Machine facilities in locations owned by state-owned companies. This step is an effort to support the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia.
The Special Staff of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga, said that the Ministry of SOEs will continue to assist MSMEs with strategic steps to strengthen its ecosystem.
Our target is 80 (vending machines) in all SOEs. Later there will be airports, train stations, ports, state-owned offices. We also want to be at Pelni on the ship," he said after the inauguration of the ending machine at Terminal 3, Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banteng, Tuesday, January 30.
Arya said MSMEs and SOEs need to collaborate to realize the 80 Vending Machine target. He said, collaboration between MSMEs and SOEs has been seen in the installation of a Vending Machine.
Today, three Killing machines have been inaugurated at the Angkasa Pura II managed airport, namely terminal 1, 2, and 3 Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten. Meanwhile, Vending Machine management and operations are fully managed by Bank BNI (Terminal 1), Telkom (Terminal 2) and PLN (Terminal 3).
The inauguration of Vending Machine is the third after previously at the Ministry of SOEs and Gambir and Gondangdia Stations supported by PLN and Pertamina. In total there are six Vending Machines that have been operating.
Furthermore, Arya said that through the vending machine, MSME products fostered by state-owned companies can be closer to consumers.
"Through Vending Machine, now MSME products are getting closer to consumers. Plus operating automatically for a full 24 hours. The placement points are strategic, namely at airports, stations that are the center of crowds. According to Minister Erick's direction, the goal is to provide greater market opportunities for MSMEs," explained Arya.

Based on information from the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkop UKM RI), there are 19 million MSMEs that have been integrated into the digital ecosystem. This figure has increased by almost 130 percent after the pandemic, with the projection of reaching 30 million MSMEs which are digitally connected by 2024.
With the presence of this Vending Machine for BUMN and MSME collaboration, Arya is optimistic that it will be easier for the public to buy MSME products and of course proud of domestic products. Because the products sold are the production of all BUMN houses spread throughout Indonesia.
Arya also hopes that this synergy can continue, and encourages all BUMN offices to also have a Vending Machine that sells MSME products.
"With Vending Machine, sales are easier to reach without the need for anyone to stand by to look after. This is also a challenge for MSMEs to improve the quality of their products," concluded Arya.
