JAKARTA - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) together with the Cooperation Contract Contract Contractor (KKKS) TIS Petroleum E&P Blora Pte. Ltd. successfully completed the RBG Block I EPF (EARLY Production Facility) Project in the Blora Working Area, East Java Province.

The success of this project is also an important milestone for SKK Migas together with KKKS because it has succeeded in optimizing gas reserves that have a CO2 level of 30 percent

"Currently, the RBG Block - I Field produces 4 MMSCFD (million cubic feet of gas per day) of gas and 35 BCPD (barel condensates per day). Success in commercializing gas with CO2 content is quite large, providing optimism for us to be able to do the same in other fields that have similar characteristics," said Head of the SKK Migas Program and Communication Division, Hudi D. Suryodipuro, Thursday, January 11.

According to Hudi, there are still a number of gas fields that have not been optimized because they contain a fairly high level of CO2.

"We plan to convince investors that there is no need to worry. We have experience in commercializing these gases so that they can be accepted by buyers in the future," he explained.

Hudi then said that in the future the gas production capacity from the RBG Field Field Block - I could reach 10 MMSCFD.

"We express our appreciation for the extraordinary achievements of KKKS TIS Petroleum E&P Blora Pte. Ltd. in completing this project. This success is the result of a close collaboration and strong synergy between SKK Migas, KKKS, and stakeholders, which aims to increase national gas production," said Hudi.

Hudi said, the investment value of the RBG Block EPF Project reached 7.2 million US dollars or around Rp. 112 billion, which includes EPF rental costs, the installation of a Custody Meter Package, as well as re-entry and RBG-3 Sumur complement activities.

"We hope that this investment will not only increase national gas production, but also be able to produce a multiplier effect with the growth of the upstream oil and gas industry, especially for people around the operating area," concluded Hudi.
