PP Increased Civil Servant Salaries Has Not Been Completed, Sri Mulyani Makes Sure To Stay Paid Since January 2024

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani conveyed that the Draft Government Regulation (RPP) regarding the increase in the salary of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) for 2024 is still in the process of being discussed.

"The 2024 ASN salary is still being paid, the increase is as stated by the President, an increase of 8 percent and for retirees of 12 percent," he said at a press conference on the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN), Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

Sri Mulyani said that her party would immediately complete the regulation and ensure that the salaries of ASN, TNI, Polri and retirees would not be reduced even though the rules were still under discussion, where their rights would still be paid since January 2024.

"The RPP is indeed in the process, don't worry that the salary rights will still be paid since January 2024," he added

For information, previously the government would increase the salaries of ASN/TNI/Polri by 8 percent and retirees by 12 percent by 2024.

In addition to increasing the salary of civil servants, Sri Mulyani had previously raised the food money to the cost of data packages for civil servants.

This policy is contained in the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 49 of 2023 concerning Standard Input Fees for Fiscal Year 2024 which is set on April 28, 2023, and will take effect from May 3, 2023.

So that the food money received by civil servants at the lowest level is class IV amounting to Rp. 41,000 per day. If multiplied by a working period of 22 days, class IV civil servants get a meal fee of Rp. 902,000 per month.
