JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) said that the MSME Bazar program for Indonesia had recorded a transaction value of IDR 28.3 billion from January to November 2023.

"So a total of Rp28.3 billion in eleven events this year, not yet December," said Expert Staff for Finance and MSME Development at the Ministry of SOEs, Loto Srinaita Ginting, quoted from ANTARA, Friday, December 1.

Loto said that from January to November 2023, 10 MSME bazaars had been held with 12,894 transactions, while 1 digital market exhibition (PaDi) for MSME Expo was recorded at 19,211 transactions.

Thus, in 11 activities for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), more than 32,000 transactions have been recorded.

The number of companies participating in this activity reached 24 state-owned companies, with MSME participants spread across 29 provinces.

"The transaction value of the eleven events is the UMKM Bazar amounting to Rp9.6 billion and if the PaDi Expo reaches Rp18.7 billion. This amount does not include the current December bazaar," he said.

Loto further said that this achievement could not be separated from the synergy between the Ministry of SOEs and all relevant stakeholders, both Ministries/Institutions, Regional Governments, and other organizations.

He hopes that the contribution of shopping transactions in these activities can continue to increase and be sustainable as a form of BUMN's efforts in developing MSMEs in Indonesia.

According to him, bazaar activities and MSME exhibitions can be used as a momentum to expand the market for MSME players to develop more.

In addition, it is not only a means for MSMEs to expand the market both offline and online through the digital PaDi MSME platform, but also adding buyers who are not only business to customers (b2c), but also business to business (b2b).

"There is hope that SOEs will open many roads so that the market will become wider. There are even some buyers from abroad," he said.
