Bekasi Station Escalator Dies A Month, DJKA Ministry Of Transportation: This Week It Can Be Used

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation through the Directorate General of Railways ensures that the repair of the escalator at Bekasi Station will be completed this week.

For your information, the escalator at Bekasi Station has been out of operation for a month. KRL users are forced to use manual stairs.

"For Bekasi tomorrow it will be done. God willing, in this week it will be completed and can run," said Director General of Railways, Risal Wasal when met at the DPR RI Building, written Wednesday, November 22.

Risal said that the repair of the escalator at Bekasi Station took a long time because it was necessary to carry out the auction process and the spare parts needed had to be imported.

"Then, the process is due to the auction, and the position of the auction is time, later if we show it directly, there will be problems, hopefully everything needs to be auctioned," he said.

He promised to evaluate the performance of the escalator vendor. This step was taken to ensure the smooth flow of KRL users.

"People ask for an escalator vendor? Now that agrees. If the vendor is not cool, we will study it," he said.
