JAKARTA - The Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) stated that the printing of the 2024 Election ballots will begin on November 15.

The printing was two days after the determination of the presidential candidate pair (candidate) and vice presidential candidate (cawapres) participating in the 2024 presidential election.

"Later around mid-November, November 15, we can start printing ballots," said Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Hasyim Asy'ari quoting Antara.

According to Hasyim, printing ballots is an important first step in ensuring the availability of voting facilities that will be used by voters on voting day on February 14, 2024.

He said that on November 5 to 7, the KPU would invite representatives from provincial and district/city KPUs to Jakarta after obtaining approval from each leader of a political party at the regional level regarding the design of the 2024 election ballot.

"On November 5 to 7, we will invite friends from the regency-city KPU to Jakarta after approval or approval with each leader of a political party regarding the design of a ballot," said Hasyim.

Hasyim added that the invitation to the provincial and district/city KPUs was intended to confirm the approval of the ballot design of each political party leader at the regional level.

Furthermore, he said that after the end of the 2024 election campaign period on February 10, 2024, the KPU would start the logistics preparation process for the democratic party.

The campaign period will start from November 28 to 3 days before the voting day. If the voting is on February 14th, the calm period means that on the 11, 12, 13th, we will use it to process election logistics preparations," said Hasyim.

Previously, the Indonesian KPU set 9,917 lists of permanent candidates (DCT) for members of the DPR RI from 18 political parties participating in the 2024 General Election spread across 84 electoral districts (dapil).

"For DCT members of the Indonesian House of Representatives in the 2024 General Election, after we verified the eligible number to enter DCT, it was 9,917 people," said Hasyim Asy'ari at a press conference at the KPU Office, Jakarta, Friday (4/11).

For DCT members of the DPD RI, the KPU RI has appointed 668 candidates for 38 electoral districts, consisting of 535 men and 133 women.
