Minister Of PUPR: Materials And Environmental Friendly Designs Implemented At IKN

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono revealed that the Ministry of PUPR has applied environmentally friendly materials and designs in the construction of the Nusantara State Capital (IKN) projects.

"For example at IKN, we apply environmental conblockage that can absorb water in the ministerial housing area," Basuki said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, November 4.

He also said the PUPR Ministry utilizes environmentally friendly and intelligent designs for the construction of houses in IKN Nusantara.

"The design of green and intelligent houses is currently being used at IKN as well. We still apply many other things," said Basuki.

For information, according to Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 63 of 2022 concerning Details of the Main Plan for the Capital City of the Archipelago that the Vision of the Capital City of the Archipelago is "World City for All"

The development and development of the capital city of Nusantara applies global standard governance, becomes a driving engine for Kalimantan, and triggers the strengthening of domestic value chains throughout Eastern Indonesia.

IKN Nusantara must be a model for the development of green and sustainable cities driven by the application of the latest technology.

By referring to the main vision and objectives, the long-term development of the capital city of the archipelago is based on a number of main principles such as realizing urban infrastructure with a circular and resilient system.

The construction of lKN Nusantara to achieve the realization of sustainable development goals based on three different scales, namely Humans (people) in order to meet basic human needs, Places (places), a resilient human environment, and Earth (planets), contribute to a sustainable global future.
