Growing 12.5 Percent, WIKA Pockets New Contracts Of IDR 21.44 Trillion

JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) has a new contract of IDR 21.44 trillion as of September 2023.

The new contract grew by 12.5 percent on an annual basis or year on year (yoy) compared to the same period last year of IDR 19.06 trillion.

"The largest contribution to the acquisition of the new contract comes from the infrastructure and building segment of 49.6 percent, followed from the industrial segment, EPCC, property and investment," said WIKA Corporate Secretary, Mahendra Vijaya in an official statement, Thursday, November 2.

In terms of employers, he said, most of the projects achieved by WIKA came from SOEs and the Government, with a monthly progress payment scheme.

Mahendra revealed that the acquisition of this new contract is crucial in the Company's restructuring steps, which will ensure cash in for the Company.

Furthermore, continued Mahendra, this increase also proves that WIKA is able to maintain the quality of its work, both processes and products, so that employers continue to entrust their projects to the Company.

"We are also grateful for the support of the community and partners because their support is still able to maintain their performance," he said.

The projects included in the new contract list in September include the Karangnongko Dam project located between Central Java and East Java, Gatot Subroto Underpass, North Sumatra and several other contract acquisitions both at the parent and subsidiary.

In line with the trust that continues to be given by employers, WIKA also continues to show efforts to realize its commitment to partners in the midst of challenging Company conditions.

"It was recorded that in September 2023, WIKA had made payments of Rp. 824.29 billion to 1,439 partners, of which Rp. 339.35 billion was paid to 1,207 working partners, which is an UMK," he said.

In September 2023, WIKA also succeeded in adding its new contract achievements in the Karanganongko Dam project, Bojonegoro, East Java and Blora, Central Java package 1 which was entrusted by the Ministry of PUPR to WIKA - HK - PP KSO.

In the project, WIKA has a 40 percent portion with a company contract value of IDR 292 billion to work on the scope of soil excavations, drilling and grouting, the structure of abundant, hydromechanical and electrical concrete at the Door of the Radial Movement Dam.

The Karangnongko Dam project is intended as basic service infrastructure for communities in Blora Regency, Bojonegoro Regency, and surrounding districts, in the form of building a new irrigation network and increasing the availability of domestic and industrial raw water.

Mahendra said that the construction of this dam adds to the dam portfolio carried out by WIKA, which is spread across various parts of Indonesia, and functions to optimize water management in each region.
